Mr. Cofield, 78, passed away at his home Thursday. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Frances, and his three sons- Johnny Lee, John Lewis Jr. and Jerald Lynn; his four grandchildren- Robert Lee, Joshua Lewis, Jacob Lee and Josie Elizabeth; two daughter-n laws- Gwen and Cheryl; two brothers- Harding and Griffin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and graduate of Jacksonville State University.. John Lewis was a meteorologist and comptroller for the U.S. Government until his retirement. He was a hard worker who took good care of his children and grandchildren. He is now resting with Jesus in Heaven.
The Funeral Service will be Sunday at 1:00p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville with Dustin Henshaw officiating. The visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00p.m.
